Can I use Alarmira without the Bluetooth button?
Yes, absolutely. The app works entirely on its own. You can trigger an alarm right from the app. The button is an optional extra for faster, more discreet activation.
What happens exactly when I trigger an alarm?
The moment you trigger an alarm (via the button or the app), your pre-set emergency contacts are immediately alerted through a push notification and/or SMS. They receive your real-time GPS location and, with a Standard plan or Premium plan, also a live audio recording.
How quickly are my contacts notified?
On average within 2 seconds of activation. As long as your phone has an internet or mobile network connection, your contacts are notified almost instantly.
Does the alarm also work when my phone is locked?
Yes. The alarm button works via Bluetooth and triggers the alarm whether or not your screen is locked. You don't even have to take your phone out of your pocket.
Is my data stored securely?
All your personal data, location information and audio recordings are stored with end-to-end encryption. We have no access to your data ourselves. Your privacy is fully protected. Read more in our privacy policy.
Which devices does Alarmira work on?
Alarmira is available for iOS (14+) and Android (10+). The Bluetooth button works with all supported smartphones via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
